Grant-funded training course:
Strategic Planning Fundamentals
for small businesses and nonprofits

What would change if you had a clear strategic framework guiding every organizational decision?

Strategic planning isn't something you do when you're stuck, it's something you do first to avoid getting stuck.

Great news for small business owners and nonprofit leaders in Massachusetts: The state's Workforce Training Fund Program is funding my Strategic Planning Fundamentals courses, making this transformational training available at no cost to you*. I'm offering three specialized courses: one specifically designed for service-based businesses, another tailored for product-based businesses, and one developed for nonprofits and mission-driven organizations.

What strategic thinking does for your business or nonprofit

For service-based businesses: What exactly is your business identity? Which services should you offer to whom? How do you price profitably while staying competitive? Without answers to these questions, owners spend their time firefighting daily operations instead of directing their company's future, leading to inconsistent results, unclear direction, and missed growth opportunities.

For product-based businesses: How do you choose between US and overseas manufacturing? What's the right pricing strategy for wholesale versus retail? How do you manage cash flow during long development cycles? Product business owners face complex, interconnected decisions that seem manageable but quickly become overwhelming. Without a strategic framework, those decisions get made reactively, leading to costly mistakes before they've generated a dollar of revenue.

For nonprofits: Are your programs truly aligned with your mission and capacity? How do you build financial sustainability that doesn't depend on a handful of grants? Nonprofit leaders know strategic planning matters, but day-to-day operations, donor relationships, and program delivery leave little room for the harder questions. Without dedicated space to answer them together, intention rarely becomes lasting impact.

These 10-hour intensives give your team a practical framework to build the strategic foundation your organization needs.

Who this is for

Service and product-based businesses: Small business owners who are navigating stagnation, planning growth, wrestling with pricing or direction, or building a foundation from the ground up. Best attended by the owner together with their marketing or operations manager.

Nonprofits: Organizations at an inflection point: a board requesting a formal strategic plan, shifting or diminished funding, new leadership finding its footing, or a team ready to move from day-to-day management toward long-term sustainable growth. Ideally attended by the Executive Director together with a senior staff member or board member.
